President's Welcome

Note to our Amazing Sponsors and Members: Due to COVID19, we have temporarily transitioned our in person events to a virtual setting.

Welcome to the Central and Southern Ohio Chapter of HIMSS. Over the past year, board members have been busy serving our community with our conferences in Cincinnati and Columbus, the OHIT Day on Blockchain and also our reception event in Orlando. Thanks to our many sponsors for their support of the community. At CSOHIMSS, our core values and goals are to provide quality healthcare IT education, networking and advocacy, as well as advance the effectiveness of Information Technology in the Healthcare ecosystem. We are at a pivotal point in healthcare with significant changes over the last decade as compared to years past, and information technology has never been more center stage than it is now. Our focus has been on topics from interoperability, AI, Blockchain, Predictive Analytics and the future of HIE's and EHRs, as well as how to tackle operational and clinical areas such as physician burnout.  We provide education and networking events with many other topics affecting the ever changing world of healthcare.

To help support our goal of better healthcare through information technology, we primarily host two main conferences annually, in the Cincinnati/Dayton and Columbus regions. In 2019, we hosted a Charity Golf Event on the 19th of September, 2019 in Cincinnati as well as our Spring Event in Dublin, OH and our Fall conference in Cincinnati, OH. as well as our Ohio Healthcare IT Day at The Ohio Statehouse. Our events focus on topics that are relevant to the modern-day healthcare IT professional, care providers or healthcare administrators.
