President's Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Central and Southern Ohio chapter of HIMSS. We are happy you have shown interest in our local chapter! At CSOHIMSS, our core goals are to provide education and advocacy, and to advance the effectiveness of Information Technology in Healthcare. We are at a pivotal point in healthcare with significant change as compared to decades past, and technology has never been more center stage. We focus on topics from big data, interoperability, HIE’s, EMR Technologies, and many other topics affecting the everchanging landscape that is modern healthcare.

To help support our goal of bettering healthcare through technology, we host two conferences annually. One in the fall and one in the spring, as well as an annual HIT Advocacy Day at the State House in Columbus, OH. Our events focus on topics that are relevant to the modern-day healthcare IT professional, nurse, doctor or healthcare administrator. Additionally, we hold monthly lunch in learn webinars that differ in topics hosted by our great CSOHIMSS sponsors.

If you are a member, sponsor or someone interested in our local chapter, I encourage you to browse our website and look at the many benefits our chapter has to offer. We hope you will participate in our upcoming events and we are always looking for volunteers to help with programs, membership or helping with our board of directors.

We hope to see at our next event and you can stay in touch with us via social media and learn more about our upcoming events and activities via the following sites:
