All Ohio Luncheon at HIMSS16

All Ohio Luncheon at HIMSS16 for CSOHIMSS & NOHIMSS members.

President's Welcome

Scott Mash

I’m excited to be serving as president this year for the CSOHIMSS Chapter. Our board is setting high goals to increase membership involvement opportunities, to improve our conferences and OHIT Day events, by hosting our first ever members meeting webinar and by the addition educational webinars to support those with CPHIMS/CAHIMS by offering additional CEU opportunities.

This year, one focus will be on building membership participation through the establishment of several committees so that we are able to do more in support our membership and overall mission. If you are interested in volunteering for one of our committees (Membership, Sponsorship and Programs), please let me know at csohio.president@himsschapter.org and we will get you involved.

Another avenue of member involvement is extending the opportunity to our membership to be presenters at our spring conference and for a lunch and learn webinars. If you are interested in these speaking opportunities please download and submit the Call for Speakers form from the CSOHIMSS website and submit it to csohio.info@himsschapter.org.

Don’t forget to register early and save the date for our three major events:

  • 2015 CSOHIMSS Fall Conference: “So Long and Thanks for all the Data. The Conference on Population Health”, Friday, October 23rd at the Mandalay Banquet Center in Dayton, Ohio
  • 2016 Ohio Health Information Technology Day, Wednesday, April 27, at the Statehouse Atrium
  • 2016 CSOHIMSS Spring Conference: theme will be HIPAA Privacy & Security, Friday, May 20th, at the OCLC Conference Center in Columbus, Ohio

I am looking forward to serving as your President this year and am excited to be working with the CSOHIMSS Board, which is an exceptional group of leaders in healthcare. I would like to thank them for volunteering their time and sharing their talents with us.  I encourage each of you, our valued CSOHIMSS members, to consider getting more involved in our chapter this year by participating in all our conferences and other events or by serving on a committee.  Your involvement strengthens our Chapter and benefits Ohio’s HIT community!  Please feel free to reach out to me or any of the board members regarding ways to get more involved in the HIMSS Central & Southern Chapter.

I look forward to serving you in the upcoming year!
