Jeff Haas - President
Director, IT Clinical Systems, Premier Health, Dayton, Ohio
Jeff is currently responsible for all inpatient Epic clinical applications for Premier Heath, which include Miami Valley Hospital, Miami Valley Hospital South, Good Samaritan Hospital, Atrium Medical Center, and Upper Valley Medical Center. He is responsible for the applications that support Emergency Departments, Surgery/Anesthesia, Laboratory, Medical Imaging/Radiology, Pharmacy, and all Inpatient Clinical Documentation and Orders. Jeff oversees a team of 60 clinical application members, ranging from Team Leaders, Project Managers and Programmer Analysts.
Prior to this role, Jeff was responsible for establishing the implementation and support teams to execute Premier Health's ambulatory “Community Connect” outreach solution to employed and affiliated physicians in the South West Ohio market. Implementations included Primary Care as well as a wide range of specialists. Partnering closely with Business Development, over 140 implementations were completed between 2010 and 2013.
Additionally, Jeff’s responsibilities at Premier Health have included the management of both the Inpatient and Ambulatory Revenue Cycle environments in the following areas of focus: Ambulatory (EpicCare Ambulatory), ADT (Prelude), Health Information Management (HIM), Hospital Billing (Resolute Hospital Billing), and Professional Billing (Resolute Professional Billing).
Prior to this, Jeff served as a Medical Imaging consultant, PACS Administrator and Project Manager with both outpatient and inpatient areas of focus. Jeff has a Master’s Degree in Organization Development and Change from Kent State University.
Scott Gaines - Marketing Chair
SVP & General Manager - Provider Solutions for CoverMyMeds
Scott has extensive business development, consulting and implementation experience in healthcare information technology. He currently leads the provider solutions business for Columbus-based CoverMyMeds, the nation’s largest electronic prior authorization platform. In this role, Scott is responsible for the overall strategy, growth and performance of solutions leveraged by over 500,000 physicians and their staff.
Prior to CoverMyMeds, Scott spent nearly 10 years with Cleveland-based Hyland, the creator of OnBase, where he most recently led an expansion into international markets. In this role, Scott had the opportunity to advise world-renown healthcare organizations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
Scott serves BioOhio as a board trustee and is an active member of HIMSS and the CHIME Foundation. Scott holds numerous industry credentials, including a Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) certification, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University. Joanne has 30 years experience in Information Technology, 20 of those in healthcare. Before becoming the CIO at Wood County Hospital Joanne was a Systems Engineer for Siemens Medical Solutions and was involved with project management, implementations and support.
Joanne wants to be involved with the CSOHIMSS Board to help encourage sharing of information technology and help develop the future of Health Information Management Systems.
Director of HIM, Madison County Hospital, London, Ohio
Russ Hessler has been involved in healthcare in both ambulatory and inpatient facilities for over 20 years. Currently he manages the Medical Records and Utilization Review departments at Madison County Hospital in London Ohio. He has served on the CSOHIMSS board in various capacities in the past, including as President of the Board and Membership Chair. Russ seeks continued involvement in HIMSS on both the local and national level.
J. Mark Harvey - Public Relations Chair

J. Mark Harvey’s career has been dedicated to healthcare.
His primary focus was healthcare information technology from 1989 until 2012. During that time Mark served as systems manager, manager of the entire IT operation- including technicians, engineers, and analysts- and manager of healthcare applications. Mark served as CIO of Holzer Clinic from December 2007 until the organization merged with Holzer Health Systems to form the new Holzer Health System in March 2012.
Following the merger he turned my attention to organizational strategy, helping the new organization plan and build for the next generation.
Then Mark spent 11 months from October 2013 helping a small, mission-based organization that operates FQHC clinics to move forward with their IT efforts, before joining EHR-Integration Services in August 2014.
As a consultant with EHRis Mark has the opportunity to do what he love to do... help people all over the United States finally realize the promise of Healthcare Information Technology that we've worked toward for so long.

Project Manager, Mason, Ohio
Ajay Sharma has 24 years of experience working with customers globally on their IT initiatives. He has worked for several large systems integrators including as a Senior Manager at MahindraSatyam an Ambulatory Project Manager at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles, an IT Program Manager and ICD-10 Project Manager at Palomar Health, UC Health & Mercy Health in Cincinnati. He was, in addition, a Senior Manager in Healthcare Advisory at Sogeti, USA LLC. Additionally, Ajay is a HIMSS Fellow (FHIMSS) awarded to him for his contribution and focus on advocating and promoting Healthcare IT.
Ajay has been on the national mHIMSS task force and as a Vice Chair on the HIMSS Chapters Task Force. He has been with the CSOHIMSS Board since early 2007 and has been the PR Chair, Program Chair from 2009 to 2011 and Treasurer, President-Elect from 2011-2012, Past President FY 2012-2013 and Program Chair in 2014-2015. He has successfully managed the coordination of the CSOHIMSS conferences for the board in Columbus and the Interoperate 2010 and 2011 conferences at Bethesda North Hospital and Catholic Health Partners (now Mercy Health) in Cincinnati respectively. The highly anticipated Fall and Spring Conferences FY 2014 - 2015 at The Daniel Drake Center in Cincinnati and The Ohio Union, The Ohio State University that he spearheaded was enthusiastically received due to their focus on the emerging areas of Analytics and mHealth.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Bangalore University, an MBA in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He also serves on The Circuit in Cincinnati and is a member of the South West Ohio Project Management Institute. His focus is on increasing the awareness and education of healthcare information technology through a collaborative process.
Jamie Sorg - Communication Chair
Independent Consultant, Findlay, Ohio
With more than 15 years of IT experience, Jamie is responsible for the strategy, implementation and support for more than 40 health system locations including two acute hospitals and two long-term care facilities. In addition, she serves as the Information Security Officer for the organization, focusing on security efforts as healthcare continues into the electronic age of sharing information.
Jamie has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. She also holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) with emphasis in IT from The University of Findlay.
Beginning her career in the service industry, Jamie worked for various ISPs/cable TV providers implementing ERP solutions including PeopleSoft and SAP along with many other billing solutions. She transitioned to healthcare in 2008 as an independent consultant working on data analytics. This consulting role turned into her now full-time position leading the organization’s technological advances. Jamie has also been an adjunct IT instructor in the Findlay community for more than 13 years.
Jamie’s current focus is leading for the future and implementing Cerner as their next HCIS solution for a complete electronic health record at BVHS.
Director of Resource Management, Aspen Advisors, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Lisa has over twenty years in healthcare, healthcare IT and service organizations’ business operations. As a project manager that transitioned into operations based role, she brought her consulting field expertise with her as she supported an over 250 person organization for overall talent management. Originally a licensed RN, Lisa has a solid healthcare industry understanding which enables her to understand the demand for resources in the healthcare provider market exceptionally well. She holds her certification as a Human Capital Strategist, through the Human Capital Institute. Lisa commands a strong understanding of the global workforce, dealing in the virtual world of staffing service consultants from a worldwide pool of resources.
Lisa is the past Secretary of CSOHIMSS, and this year is excited to head up the activities involved with planning our programming. She lives in Granville with her husband Kevin, and their three children.
Senior Consultant, CSG Government Solutions
Richard (Rick) Moore is a Senior Consultant with CSG Government Solutions, a national leader in government program modernization. Mr. Moore has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has successfully led the design, development and implementation of multiple modernization projects for both the public and private sectors. His current assignment is working on the Ohio Department of Medicaid’s project for their Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) State Self-Assessment. He has also worked on Medicaid modernization projects for the State of Washington and Michigan as well as other projects in Ohio and other States related to the Health Insurance Marketplace, Health Information Exchange, Electronic Medical Record implementation, HIPAA EDI transactions, Security and Privacy. He is the current president of eHealth Ohio, Inc., a non-profit regional affiliate of the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI); a Standards Development Organization to the Secretary of HHS. An active participant in HIMSS, he is a Past President of CSOHIMSS, VP/Treasurer, past & present CSOHIMSS Advocacy Chairman, past HIMSS RHIO/HIE Liaison for the State of Ohio, a past HIMSS National Chair for the RHIO Liaison Roundtable and advisor to the HIMSS HIE Steering Committee. He started the Ohio HIMSS Advocacy Day in 2008 and is an active leader for this annual event now called Ohio Healthcare Information Technology (OHIT) Day. He also is active with the HIMSS Chapter Advocacy Roundtable (CAR) program each year.

Victor Simha has 20 years of experience working in Data Analytics. Victor is the Director of Business Intelligence at The Christ Hospital, the number one hospital in Cincinnati. Prior to working at The Christ Hospital, Victor was in the Data Management group at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Victor also has health care experience in the commercial market from his years at Ethicon Endo Surgery where he was the manager of marketing analytics. Victor has certificates in Epic Ambulatory, Project Management, ITILv3 and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Donna has over twenty years’ experience in Information Technology, Insurance and Higher Education. Donna’s interests include all aspects of Health Information Technology and particularly how it relates to culture and ethics. Donna teaches courses in Ethics and Technology, Global and Strategic Issues in Information Technology and Health Information Technology in the Miami University Health Information Technology degree program. She holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in MIS from Miami University, as well as a Bachelor of Science with majors in Marketing and Finance.
Donna is on the Fulbright Specialist Roster and is a Senior Member of HIMSS and holds the CPHIMS certification.
Kim Stults - Member at Large (Voting)
IT Director of The Bellevue Hospital.
Kim began her career 31 years ago as a registered nurse at TBH, after graduating from Providence Hospital School of Nursing with her diploma in nursing. Her experience at TBH, includes staff nurse in the Med/Surg, ICU, Surgery and Recovery Room. Kim also has 17 years of management experience as Med/Surg Manager, Education Director, and currently the IT Director.
Kim's interest in Information Systems began when she returned for her BSN from BGSU in 1997 and realized “this computer stuff might be here to stay”. She began to take Microsoft classes and was in the pilot BGSU online nursing class. This interest continued as Kim completed her MSN from the University of Phoenix. She was the champion for electronic nursing documentation at TBH.
As IT Director the last 7 years, Kim has created a strategic vision for the department which includes an overall upgrade to TBH’s IT infrastructure and project managing the transition and implementation of McKesson Paragon EMR. Email: kstults@Bellevuehospital.com
Deputy CIO of Applications, The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio
Tom Bentley is the Deputy Chief Information Officer at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC). In this role, he is responsible for the successful implementation of the electronic medical records (EMR), the integration of information technology systems and services, improving efficiency and business alignment, reducing costs and enhancing information integration within the OSUWMC environments.
Tom has been a Buckeye and part of OSUWMC for more than 20 years. During this time he has facilitated the cultural transformation into an environment that maximizes information technology for the institution’s 18,000 users and 2,200 attendings and residents. Tom was integral to OSUWMC’s achieving HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 for all hospitals in 2012 and all ambulatory sites in 2014. His professional interests include EMR optimization, organizational technology strategy and leveraging new technologies.
Tom earned his Masters of Science degree from The Ohio State University where he also received his Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree along with a minor in Computer Science. He is a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.

Gary Ginter is currently the System Vice President, Chief Information Officer for Premier Health (a Joint Operating Company comprised of Miami Valley Hospital, Atrium Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Upper Valley Medical Center) in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Ginter has 30 years of Information Systems experience in a variety of industries.
In Mr. Ginter’s previous role, he was the Enterprise Architecture/Analytics Administrator for Premier Health. Mr. Ginter was in charge of the Premier Health Partners' implementation of Epic. Atrium Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Miami Valley Hospital, and Upper Valley Medical Center have been approved as being Stage 6 by HIMSS Analytics. In addition to coordinating application implementation, he has led the technical and support of Premier Health Partners’ physician EMR extension program which consists of over 180 physicians. Mr. Ginter is currently on the Board for Central & Southern Ohio HIMSS and a member of the Technical Operations Committee for HealthBridge and Clinical Advisory Committee for CliniSync (Ohio Health Information Partnership). Mr. Ginter is also a member of CHIME.
